Thorin Oakenshield was a Dwarf, the son of Thrain and grandson of King Thror. He is best known for leading a group of twelve dwarves, a Hobbit and the Wizard Gandalf who regained the lost kingdom under the Mountain for the dwarves from the dragon Smaug.
